Bed Bug Treatment Preparation Checklist  

🧺 Laundry Preparation (REQUIRED)

✔ Wash all clothing, bedding, towels, and linens from affected rooms
✔ Use hot water (minimum 60°C / 140°F)
✔ Dry items on high heat for at least 30–45 minutes
✔ Immediately place clean items into sealed plastic bags or containers

❌ Do NOT re-open bags until after treatment
❌ Do NOT place unbagged items back into treated areas

🛏️ Bedroom Preparation

• ✔ Strip all beds completely
  ✔ Remove mattress covers, sheets, blankets, and pillows
  ✔ Place mattresses and box springs back on the bed frame
  ✔ Pull beds at least 30–45 cm (12–18 inches) away from walls
  ✔ Remove items stored under beds

• ❌ Do NOT discard mattresses unless instructed
  ❌ Do NOT move infested furniture to other rooms

🛋️ Furniture & Living Areas

✔ Empty nightstands, dressers, and drawers
✔ Bag contents after laundering or inspection
✔ Pull furniture away from walls
✔ Remove items from sofas and chairs
✔ Reduce clutter as much as possible

❌ Do NOT move furniture between rooms
❌ Do NOT spray or apply DIY products before treatment

🧹 General Home Preparation

✔ Vacuum floors, carpets, and baseboards
✔ Dispose of vacuum contents in a sealed bag immediately
✔ Clear floors and closets for access
✔ Remove items from walls, shelves, and corners
✔ Ensure technicians can access all rooms

❌ Do NOT vacuum after treatment unless instructed
❌ Do NOT use steamers, sprays, or powders
